Rose S. Sher practices with the firm primarily in the areas of Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Elder Law and Special Needs Planning. Ms. Sher received her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from the University of Southern California where she received the Victoria Hall Scholarship, which is awarded to a journalism student with a major or minor in math or science, and her Juris Doctor, also cum laude, from Tulane Law School. At Tulane, she received the Civil Law Studies Award, given to the student in each graduating class with the highest cumulative grade point average in all Civil Law classes. Ms. Sher also received awards for the highest grade in the courses on Successions, Donations and Trusts, Bankruptcy, and Civil Law Security Rights, for which she was also given the Walter J. Suthon, Jr. Award. Ms. Sher was a member of the Tulane Inn of Court, the Environmental Law Society, and was active in the Student Bar Association. She also volunteered with the Pro Bono Project in the Successions Clinic.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Sher served for two years as a law clerk to the Honorable Brian A. Jackson, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana.

Ms. Sher is an Associate Member of the New Orleans Estate Planning Council, she is a board member for the Association of Women Attorneys, she serves on the Board of Directors of Jewish Children’s Regional Service, Jewish Endowment Foundation and Shir Chadash Conservative Congregation, and she was selected to be a part of the 2015-2017 Katz-Phillips Leadership Development class.  Ms. Sher is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Louisiana State Bar Association.
